The UKF Scholarship

We are excited to announce that the Upendra Kandel Foundation (UKF) is exclusively offering two deserving students of Motherland School a full scholarship.

About the Scholarship

The Upendra Kandel Foundation is a trust affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Nepal, that aims to provide diverse learning opportunities to students at Motherland School from deprived and underprivileged communities.

In pursuit of this mission, UKF is pleased to announce a Full 100% scholarship for two Grade 10 Secondary Education Examination (SEE) students from Motherland School. These scholarships will support their further studies in the Cambridge University-affiliated A-Level programme and be granted to them upon enrolment. These students will then receive full support from UKF as part of its academic intervention efforts.

The foundation is offering the same opportunity to two students at Motherland Sister School, The British Model College, Kathmandu, which is also governed by The Kandel Group (TKG).

The Upendra Kandel Foundation is driven by the imperative to alleviate the multifaceted challenges confronting Nepali communities in education, health, and disaster relief. UKF envisions a Nepal where every child has access to quality education, health services, and disaster relief, empowering them to unlock their potential and create a brighter future. In this way, they aim to deliver essential healthcare screenings and check-ups to underserved communities, respond promptly and effectively to natural disasters and provide quality access to education.

In order to do this, the Foundation is funding scholarships for financially struggling students, and training teachers to provide high-quality education, through IT training, English classes, and much more - so we are privileged to receive their support.
